Without any previous announcement, MyCommerce (our payment processor and merchant of record) parent company, Digital River, has filed for insolvency and suspended all the operations with developers and companies selling through them.
Our access to MyCommerce Platform has been frozen; all the money they owe us for the previous 3 months has been frozen and is unlikely to be paid to us soon. We are left with a huge problem that will take some time to solve. While we planned to replace MyCommerce for Freemius this year, this move by Digital River has forced our hand, and we are now facing massive changes in a very tight timeframe.
A few months ago, we started integrating the Freemius platform into our plugins, but so far, only four plugins have been converted, and we will need more time to convert the rest of the plugins. We will stop any new features development until the plugins are converted to Freemius, which will take priority over anything else. As soon as the plugin gets Freemius integration, the payment page will be functional.
- If you have an existing and active license of any of our plugins, these licenses will continue functioning as before. You will be able to update and use plugins without disruptions.
- Unfortunately, if your license was purchased via MyCommerce and is up for renewal or subscription, that will not be possible anymore. These payments will be automatically canceled by the MyCommerce system.
- If you want to continue using the plugin and extend the license, you can contact us directly, and we can provide you with an alternative payment method. Based on that, we can manually extend the license.
- Suppose the plugin already has a Freemius-integrated version. In that case, you can buy a new license and use our plugin with Freemius integration (it will require you to install the Freemius version first, but the settings and everything else remain). If you decide to do that, please contact us, provide the information about your expired license, and we can send you a discount code.
- There will be no way to upgrade old licenses directly anymore, and these options will be disabled for all the licenses purchased via MyCommerce.
- For several plugins, the upgrade to Freemius will take longer, and some plugins may be temporarily disabled until they are fully upgraded for the Freemius integration.
If you need more information about all this, you can leave a comment or contact us directly, and we will try to help you our. We are very sorry about the inconvenience this has caused, but all this was outside of our control and we are left without any way to find a quick solution, but will work hard to resolve this.
