In about two weeks, brand new, significant updates to SweepPress Pro and Lite plugins will be released, bringing several game-changing features to WordPress cleanup and maintenance tools already included.
Ever since SweepPress was released, there have been two features that were highly requested, and both will be implemented in the upcoming release. I am talking, of course, about the cleanup for the WordPress Options table and the cleanup for Metadata for Posts and Users. Besides that, the plugin will get a new dashboard layout and elements, various other improvements, and fixes.
SweepPress Pro 5.0 will get 3 new panels:
- Metadata: for managing all meta tables – postmeta, usermeta, commentmeta, termmeta, and blogmeta.
- Options: for managing the WordPress Options table with the list of all keys (default WordPress options will not be listed).
- Sitemeta: for managing the Multisite WordPress Sitemeta with the list of all keys (default WordPress options will not be listed).
SweepPress Lite 3.0 will only have Options panel, Metadata and Sitemeta management will be part of the Pro plugin only.

The plugin will be able to detect, track, and identify options and meta keys, preview them, and allow you to delete obsolete data from various WordPress tables. Both versions will have various methods to identify the source of options and meta keys, with the Pro version including advanced tracking methods for the highest detection accuracy.
If all goes as planned, new releases will be available on April 22, 2024. The plugin’s documentation will be expanded with another 10+ new articles, including information about the new features.
