Dev4Press History: Website Redesigns

Since 2019, each new website design had an internal design version number. Current website design is version 7. And, every design version is based around the theme developed by Dev4Press.

I don’t have screenshots for every website version and for the first few years, there were quite often changes applied, themes were changed every year. But, the first overall good design and layout, and first that was responsive was released in 2014, as of Version 5.

This version of the website also marked the major change in how the Dev4Press works, the licensing was changed and it was a very important step in the Dev4Press history.

In 2016, we have developed the last round of themes using our own xScape2 Theme Framework and version 6 of the Dev4Press replaced previous design.

Version 6 was just the design change, but it also included the new knowledge base implemented using our GD Knowledge Base Pro plugin.

Finally, in 2018 most important changes were launched as the Version 7 that included a new theme, new licensing system and various other improvements and changes. Over the past year, there were many updates and tweaks, and a lot of under the hood changes, especially in the plugin that drives the whole Dev4Press website.

There are no immediate plans to change the design of the website any time soon, so the version 8 is at least a year or even two away.
