GD bbPress Toolbox Pro 4.3 is a major new update with several new features, including Report topic/reply to administrators and using AJAX for Say Thanks feature. There are few smaller features, update, and fixes.
Report topics and replies
It is very useful to allow forum users to help moderators with reports about the inappropriate content. Report feature can be limited to some user roles and it can be enabled for topics and replies. Report button can be placed in the header or footer controls area. The report feature works through AJAX.
To post a report about topic or reply, the user needs to enter the report message explaining why the topic or reply should be moderated. Once the report is sent, keymasters and moderators will receive an email notification about the report. On top of that, new admin side panel is added to list all reports. You can check more information about this feature here.
More new features
Say Thanks feature now uses AJAX to submit thanks and improve usability. Notifications emails can contain shortcodes and you have the option to enable parsing of shortcodes in the final notification content.
To improve the usability of TinyMCE editor, the plugin now has the option to modify the list of HTML tags and attributes accepted for topic/reply content for all user roles. In bbPress, by default, only some HTML tags are accepted for all user roles, and you can’t use some of the TinyMCE buttons because bbPress will strip them out. The new option can allow the same set of tags as WordPress Posts allow, or moderated list of tags will smaller set of allowed tags.
If you notice any problems with the plugin, stop by the support forums to report it. Let me know what you think about the new version, and as always, suggestions are welcome. And don’t forget, most of the features in this version are requested by the plugin users.
Next 4.4 version
Version 4.4 is currently scheduled for September or October 2016, and it will focus on topic/reply read status and tracking read status for users, some updates to report features (based on the feedback in the next 2 months), new search widget, updated URL rewrite rule for forums and few more things. This is not a definitive list of features, and more things might be considered.
