GD bbPress Toolbox Pro 5.3 is now available, with a new module for the auto closing of inactive topics, new widget showing forum information, many more updates, improvements and fixes.
New plugin version brings one new module with options to close topics: auto close based on the topic (in)activity, and the previously available options to show the checkbox for closing the topic inside the reply. The auto closing of inactive topics is based on the last topic activity, and by default, it is set to 90 days.
The plugin allows you to control auto closing for each individual forums and override global settings, so you can auto-close topics in some forums only, or close globally, but have a few forums intact. For each topic that is eligible for auto closing, the plugin can show the notice inside the reply form.
The plugin features a new widget for displaying current Forum Information. It can be configured to show parent forum link, the number of topics and replies, last post author and time since last activity.
Finally, this version features one often requested feature: hide the attached files from Attachment area if they are embedded in the content. So, if you upload an image, and insert into the content, this image will be displayed as the part of the content, but, it will not be visible in the attachments area. To enable this, check out the Attachments -> Advanced settings.
Other notable changes include improvements to BuddyPress signature field support, various new filters for developers, improvements to the plugin notifications, updated shared code library. And, the fixes include problems with notifications format, minor issue with translation loading, close this topic button not working for authors and few more things.
