7 Years ago, GD bbPress Toolbox Pro was released, and now, to celebrate its birthday, we are releasing a new major version: 5.7 that brings (as usually) new features, improvements and fixes.
GD bbPress Toolbox Pro is 7 years old, and better then ever, with the brand new 5.7 version. This release focuses on subscriptions and favorites management. All new features and improvements in this version are based on user suggestions and requests.
On the frontend, on the main user profile page, the plugin now shows an overview of user subscriptions with optional action links to unsubscribe from all forums or topics. This is disabled by default, and you can enable and control it from plugin Settings -> User Profiles.
And, on the backend, there are many changes for adding subscriptions and favourites overview for topics and forums (new columns) and options to filter users according to subscriptions and favourites.
And, this panel links to the plugin Users panel that is expanded to show the list of all users with involvements in the forums, now showing additional views for filtering based on the subscriptions and favourites, including engagements count.
Other changes include: performance improvements on admin side and front end with additional bulk database operations and cache object use, improvements to the signatures module, say thanks module and more. There are several bugs fixed, including some issues with admin panels integration, thanks and attachments modules and few more things.
Next 5.8 version will be on the schedule after the Summer, hopefully, late September or early October. There are few interesting features planned already, but if you have any suggestions, let me know.
