It has been almost 4 months since the last major update for GD bbPress Toolbox Pro, and now, the new 5.8 version focuses on attachments and online tracking, with more performance improvements, updates and fixes.
Attachments got a huge update. The new database table is added for connecting posts and attachments. This was essential to add the ability to attach the same file to more than one topic from the admin side. Metabox on the admin side now allows for attachments management and adding files from the media library.
There are a lot of other changes to attachments handling, some of them targeted to improve the performance due to the changes in the SQL, benefit from the new database table. Attachments and Errors log lists panels were updated and improved with many bugs fixed.
System for tracking the number of users currently online has been mostly rewritten, and now the plugin uses new database table that is capable to keep track of online status in forums, topics, views and profiles. And, it can show notices with the counts of users and guests visiting each forum, topic, view and profile.
All plugin’s frontend styling now has full RTL support, plugin dashboard shows attachments stats, and the reset/remove tool has support for deleting database tables and disabling the plugin, several new translations are added. The plugin performance is improved with few more things stored in the cache, attachments lists and errors panels are improved.
Total of 9 bugs are fixed in this version, mostly related to the admin side and the attachments list panel. If you want to see the list of all the changes in this version, check the long changelog for this version, with over 50 items listed.
