GD Power Search Pro for bbPress has been updated, with a new release version 1.9 now available with the improved keywords search that allows phrase search with exclusions. There are a few more updates and fixes included.
The image below shows the search form with the GeneratePress theme. There are many minor styling improvements in this version aiming to make some of the elements look better in various themes.
The image also shows the search keywords with some interesting additions. You can now use quotes to set up the search phrase to look for, with the optional exclusion for the phrase also available. This means that you can now use a combination of the following search elements:
- keyword
- -keyword
- “search phrase”
- -“search phrase”
The plugin also allows for empty keywords field search. If you need to filter using filters only, you can leave keywords field empty, and the plugin will insert the minus sign to allow for the valid bbPress search URL, and will not use keywords for search, only filters.
