Brand new major update to GD Knowledge Base Pro, version 4.3, brings new, very important features in form of the new taxonomy: Knowledge Level – used to mark the required knowledge level from the user for knowledge base content.
Knowledge Levels can be color-coded so that each level can be easily visible in the list of articles or other content. When you define new levels, you can select the level color (and that color will be used for the badge color background and the level message displayed inside the content (if the description is set for the level).
The levels can be displayed as badges in the meta block or along the title, depending on the type of content, as you can see on images below for FAQ and Articles.
And, when the description is defined for the level, that description can be displayed on top of the content. This way, users will be aware of the requirement for understanding the content.
Badges display is controlled via plugin Rendering settings. Also, on install, if you have WordPress 5.5, plugin will create default level ‘General’, if not, you need to define your own levels with colors. If color for a level is not define, plugin will use dark gray color. And, shortcode and widget are included for the new taxonomy.
