GD bbPress Toolbox Pro 6.7

The last release of 2021 on Dev4Press is GD bbPress Toolbox Pro 6.7. This time, it deals with the BBCodes, BBCodes Toolbar, and the new Content Editor feature for better control over the topics and replies content editor.

This is a smaller scope major release, but it still contains some very important new features and very big updates to existing features, namely BBCodes. So, this version has lost one Feature, and that lost Feature was transformed into a new Feature called Content Editor. And, BBCodes are removed from the Settings panel and have their own new Feature that is completely reworked, expanded, and made easy to use.

Content Editor is always enabled Feature, and it is made to make the content editor selection easier. Before this version, you had to go through different settings panels to enable and configure editors for topic form and reply form. Now, the new Feature has it simplified and you have a selection for the editor and settings displayed for specific editor types. And, options to topic form editor and reply form editor are split and independent. Check out the video about this feature here.

BBCodes have been moved into a new Feature, and old Settings have been removed. Also, control over BBCodes is simplified and a lot of settings have been removed because they are available on the new BBCodes panel that allows you to control active BBCodes, which BBCodes are in the BBCode Toolbar (if used), and which BBCode is available to different user roles.

With this new panel, a lot of old settings are no longer viable or used. The plugin will try to convert old settings to new features, but, once you update the plugin, make sure to check the settings for BBCodes and Content Editor Features first, and adjust things if needed.

Other changes this time include the removal of many deprecated functions from before, removal of the old SyntaxHightlight script, so now only EnlighterJS is available and used, there are other updates and improvements, including a few fixes related to notifications.
