Today is the GD bbPress Toolbox Pro’s tenth birthday! And, to celebrate, here is a new minor release, the last one in the current branch, because the work has started on the major 7.0 version scheduled to drop in about 5-6 weeks.
GD bbPress Toolbox Pro 1.0 was released on May 27, 2012. Over the past 10 years, it has grown into the most popular plugin on Dev4Press.com, and it is the indispensable companion for countless bbPress-powered forums using it. The plugin has a lot of features enhancing and expanding the forums, it is modular and feature-based, it has tons of settings to fine-tune almost every included feature, and it is developer-friendly. I can’t wait to release the next major 7.0 version and push the plugin and forums even further.
This is most likely the last minor release for the current major release, and the development will be focused on the next 7.0 version. Version 6.7.3 includes a few minor tweaks and updates based on the latest feedback from plugin users, and it has been tested with the latest WordPress 6.0. Overall, the plugin has been stable, and
Version 7.0 will have at least one Beta release and the initial plan sets it for the first half of July, But, due to the required additional testing period, the release date may be pushed to the end of July.
