Brand new version of the GD Rating System Pro plugin, version 4.7, is here with many updates and fixes, improvements to rich snippets, improved compatibility with newer PHP versions, and more.
This new plugin version has new system requirements: WordPress 5.5 or newer, PHP 7.3 or newer. The plugin is tested with PHP 8.0, 8.1, and 8.2. Still, if there are issues with the new PHP versions, please report them through support forums.
The major goal of this release is to fix issues related to newer versions of PHP, make code improvements related to newer versions of PHP, and continue work related to the rich snippets. This version fixes several recently reported bugs, most related to PHP 8.x; it merges and expands on the latest changes for rich snippets – including optimization, better code organization, new features, and bug fixes. CSS and JS are better optimized in this release, and obsolete font files have been removed (TTF and SVG).
Also, I have conducted a lot of tests with the WordPress Full Site Editing theme (default one included in WordPress 6.1), which is still in Beta, but I was very disappointed by the core changes FSE theme brings, making a lot of features, a lot of plugins bring completely useless. I will write more about FSE next week, so stay tuned for that.
To see the list of all the changes in this version, please check out the changelog. If you find any issues with the new version, please, report them in the support forums.
