The latest release for both Pro and Lite versions of the SweepPress got a new Inactive Signups sweeper, many updates to the WP-CLI and REST API module, various fixes, and more. The pro version also has a CLI subcommand to list registered CRON jobs.
Just a week after version 3.3 was released, the new 3.5 version continued the work further by expanding the number of sweepers, bringing the total number to 33. WP-CLI command registered by SweepPress now has a new subcommand (in the Pro edition only) for listing all registered jobs in WordPress CRON.
The new sweeper is called Inactive Signups, and it is created for use with the Network/Multisite installations to remove all outdated signup entries. Depending on the size of the website and the website settings regarding signups, this table can be quite large.
Plugin has updated and expanded information displayed in the Help tab, some of the information for individual sweepers, and includes various other tweaks and updates. For WP-CLI support, the description and other information displayed by command and subcommands are mostly rewritten and expanded to give more helpful information. Several issues with WP-CLI are fixed. REST API is also updated, and a few things have been fixed.
And the Lite edition is also updated and has reached version 2.0. It includes the same updates and fixes for WP-CLI and REST API modules and the new Inactive Signups sweeper. The total number of sweepers in the Lite edition is 30.
A lot of work has been done on the support website, and the knowledge base for SweepPress has been expanded with new articles and a new user guide. More articles and references will be added in the coming days.
Finally, in the next few months, the plugin will get several new major cleanup features, including some unique cleanup methods that will further improve what type of data you can safely remove from the database.
