The new plugin version is ready, bringing new sweepers, many updates and improvements, a brand new shared code library, and bug fixes. All changes are also added to the plugin’s free version: SweepPress Lite 2.1.
SweepPress Pro 3.6 and Lite 2.1 have two new sweepers. The first sweeper is designed to remove Draft Posts Revisions, and the second sweeper removes some of the WordPress-controlled postmeta records (_wp_old_slug and _wp_old_date). Make sure to check out the information provided for these sweepers!
The new version includes many changes and tweaks based on plugin users’ suggestions and feature requests. The most important changes include links to the knowledge base with convenient red KB links/buttons, where available (settings, panels, and other elements). Also, size estimations got a few tweaks, some of the settings default values are updated, and information for Auto and Quick sweepers are expanded.
The list of ideas for future updates is getting longer, and I plan to start soon working on one of the major new features (only for the Pro version), and I expect that the 4.0 version will be released in May or June. But, before then, another version may be released, depending on user features request and reported issues. So, if you have some suggestions, let me know, and I will do my best to implement new sweepers or features.
