The new GD Knowledge Base Pro, version 6.4, is now available. This version includes many improvements related to request processing, rewrite rules and URLs, expanded core objects, and various bug fixes.
The shared library is updated, adding changes to core functionalities, visual updates, and relevant tweaks. Outdated code related to the old Shortcake UI plugin is finally completely removed, and the font EOT version has also been removed because it is no longer needed.
Most of the work is done on the templates’ loading, processing of the core query objects, rewriting URLs, and canonical URLs for product pages. Many changes have been made to the core PHP code, styling for various default templates, and much more. The core object for resources has been expanded with new methods. The plugin has support for License code activation. Currently, a license code is not required, but it will be in the next major plugin update.
This release includes many bug fixes, including issues with loading default templates, problems with canonical URLs for product archives, and a fatal error on the Tools panel under some conditions.
