coreSecurity Pro 3.0

coreSecurity Pro version 3.0 is a big update that updates system requirements, includes a lot of updates to Antispam, HTACCESS and IP banning handling. Includes new shared library, improved core code and has many bugs fixed.

Plugin now requires PHP 8.0 or newer, and old (unsupported and insecure) PHP 7.x versions are no longer supported. If you attempt to run on PHP 7.x, you will most likely end up with fatal errors. The PHP requirements will allow us to modernize the code base, improve security by design and use more great PHP features.

coreSecurity Pro has switched to use new API endpoints to get some security related data from Dev4Press website. HTACCESS options have been expanded with additional control for adding banned IPs. All the antispam features have been greatly improved with new optional regex detection rules, massive optimizations for speed and accuracy, improved DNS checker for email domains and more. And, the tools to ban IPs are expanded to allow banning IP CIDR ranges, and plugin also includes set of optional CIDR ranges of known bot networks. IP detection is vastly improved to better process what IP is real and what is spoofed, it will stop banning IPs from private/local ranges and will always try to skip those address if multiple IPs are detected from request.
