Most of the time in the last two months was dedicated to working on the GD Rating System plugin and various addons for the Pro version, and creating a new set of demos, and making it easier to start with customizations.
The demo network has been completely replaced by the new demos, now having 5 websites, with one website containing various smaller demos, and 4 websites made around the specific use cases.
All the new demos are built on top of the GeneratePress theme, and each website has a child theme with some demos also having a small plugin for some additional custom code. And, to make getting the custom code easier to get and use, all the demo child themes and demo plugins are now available on GitHub. And, all the demo plugins and child themes will be regularly updated and expanded when needed, so make sure to keep an eye on the demos you are interested in, star, or watch the repositories you need there.
Right now, there are 5 websites on the demo network, and the home page for each demo includes important information about each demo:
- Rating Plugin Demos: This is a collection of various demos for different rating methods, integrations, and customizations. There are individual one-page demos for integration for image ratings, website rating, and more.
- Comment Form Integration: This demo is a showcase for the Comment Form Addon. It shows how the integration works for the custom post type and a few other interesting integrations like the use of aggregated ratings.
- Trending: This is an update of the old demo showing the use of the Thumbs Rating for the trend based rating for posts (with custom post type) and comments, showing various integration techniques and features.
- Company Reviews: This is a new demo replacing the old one, and uses the new User Reviews Addon 5.0. This demo uses two custom post types with different rating setups using Multi Stars Rating showing all kinds of customizations.
- User Voice Platform: This is a brand new demo, using normal Stars Rating with User Reviews Addon 5.0 to create a website similar to websites like TrustPilot where users rate companies, with categories and all kinds of customizations.
All demos are created for GD Rating System Pro (depending on the user rating methods, some stuff will work with GD Rating System Free edition), and uses various addons. Demo files can be downloaded and used freely from GitHub. All demos can be test-driven, so feel free to request a demo here.
