Version 3.0 of GD Mail Queue plugin brings another set of massive changes that include very important core changes, emails log, improved dashboard, new settings, improvements and fixes.
New version improves the main dashboard to include new boxes that have better organized overview of the data gathered by the plugin, with few more new boxes. Also, plugin has option to pause normal wp_mail function from sending emails with optional use of filter to do that.
The central new feature in version 3.0 is Email Log. The plugin can log all emails sent through wp_mail and plugin’s own queue, and capture all the relevant information about each email, with the easy to use Log panel. The Log is disabled by default, you need to enable it from plugin Settings -> Log panel.
And, log panel has a very interesting preview feature allowing you to open each email in the popup showing all the logged information, including full HTML preview.
As for the other changes, there are some updates to the plugin core and plugin settings, including the organization of all the plugin options. Daily maintenance now supports the cleanup of email log, and HTMLfy has new settings for the preheader tag. And, there are many new filters and actions throughout the plugin, and most important filters are already added to the knowledge base.
The plugin is available for free on WordPress.org, so check it out:

Going Pro? Soon…
This free version is already very powerful, and it can replace several plugins, with added features that make it an all-in-one solution for mail handling and enhancing in WordPress. And, there are many more things we want to do, but, some of them are not easy to maintain, and the Free version is not a good solution for that.
So, the Pro version is coming later this month with improved Dashboard, Log and HTMLfy. But, it will also have several major new features: support for third-party email services (SendGrid, SendInBlue and AWS SES to start with, SMTP versions), SendGrid REST API, SendInBlue REST API and full support for email tracking.
