A new update to coreSocial Pro, version 3.1, brings minor changes and improvements. But, more importantly, a free version of the plugin, coreSocial Lite 1.0, is available via the WordPress.org repository.
Version Pro 3.1 includes a new shared library (version 4.8). It now requires a license code to be added for plugin activation, and the license code must be added to the setup wizard to make plugin activation easier. There are various minor updates and improvements added to this release.
Finally, after months of waiting for the review and approval for inclusion in the WordPress.org repository, coreSocial Lite 1.0, based on coreSocial Pro 3.0, is now available for free. The plugin is fully functional, but it lacks a few features that remain exclusive to the Pro version:
- Like Button: integrate the Like button inside the share block
- QR Code Button: integrate the QR Code button inside the share block and display the QR Code for the current post or page
- Floating Bar: add a share block on every page, sticking to the left or right side of the screen
- bbPress Integration: direct integration into bbPress topics and replies
A Test Preview is activated on the WordPress.org plugin page, and you can run the demo website in the browser to see how the plugin works and test all the features included.
Let me know in the comments below if you have any questions or suggestions about the new Pro or Lite plugin versions.
